Paul and Erica's Statement of Faith

We believe that God is the creator and ruler over the entire universe and that He exists eternally as three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three persons are co-equal and one God.

 

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, a co-equal part of the Trinity. We believe that Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, lived a perfect and sinless life here on earth, died on the cross and rose again three days later.

 

We believe that the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and Jesus the Son of God. The Holy Spirit lives in every Christian from the moment of their salvation and He provides power, understanding of spiritual truths and guides believers in doing what is holy and acceptable to God. We believe that He empowers Christians with spiritual gifts to build up the Church. The Holy Spirit also gave us the gift of speaking in tongues as was given on the day of Pentecost.

 

We believe that the Bible is God’s Holy Word to us. The Bible is the final authority in judging all doctrinal truths. It was written by humans under the supernatural direction of the Holy Spirit.

 

We believe that we are humans, created by God in the image of God. Where we were once innocent, through the temptation of Satan, we have sinned and this sin separates us from God. Only through the grace of God, salvation through the Son of God, can we be restored to relationship with God.

 

We believe that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that only by believing in Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection can we receive forgiveness for our sins and salvation of our souls.

 

We believe that Heaven and Hell are real places and that Heaven is the eternal dwelling place for all believers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
